How many questions are in the Regitra exam?

Short answer: the category B theory exam consists of 30 questions in 30 minutes (the time limit always equals the number of questions). To pass you need at least 80% correct answers — that means at most 6 mistakes (24 correct out of 30). The exam costs €10, and a passed theory result is valid until the practical exam, but no longer than 1 year.
Questions, time and error limits by category
| Category | Questions | Time | Max. mistakes |
|---|---|---|---|
| B, B1, BE | 30 | 30 min | 6 (80%) |
| A, A1, A2, AM | 35 (30 general + 5 specific) | 35 min | 7 (80%) |
| C, C1, CE | 40 (30 general + 10 specific) | 40 min | 8 (80%) |
| D, D1, DE | 40 (30 general + 10 specific) | 40 min | 8 (80%) |
When taking several categories at once, the specific questions of each category are added to the 30 general ones. Questions are closed-form with 2–4 answer options, many with situation pictures; you can answer in any order and return to skipped questions.
How the exam is scored
All questions carry equal weight and the bar is 80% correct. An unanswered question effectively counts as a mistake, because only the number of correct answers matters — so always answer everything. Train in exam mode (30/30, no hints) and register only when you consistently hit 90%+ in simulations: the 10% buffer covers stress and unexpected questions.
