📚 Detailed rules
During the dark hours of the day or in poor visibility, drivers of motor vehicles, tractors and self-propelled machines must drive on roads with the low beam or high beam headlights switched on.
During the dark hours of the day or in poor visibility, high beam headlights must be switched to low beam:
95.1. on properly lit roads;
95.2. at a distance of no less than 150 m from an oncoming vehicle;
95.3. in other cases, when high beam headlights may dazzle drivers (even those traveling in the same direction).
A driver who is being dazzled must switch on the hazard warning signals and, without changing direction of travel, reduce speed and, if necessary, stop.
During the light hours of the day, drivers of motor vehicles, tractors and self-propelled machines must drive on roads with the low beam headlights or with the headlights specially designated for daytime running switched on.
Fog lights are permitted to be used only in poor visibility, and front fog lights – also when the front left low beam headlight is out of order.
