In which languages can you take the driving exam in Lithuania?

Short answer: since 1 January 2026 the Regitra theory exam can be taken in Lithuanian, English, Polish, Spanish, French, German and Ukrainian. Russian was removed on 1 January 2026, Ukrainian was added on 9 February 2026, and German joined the list later in 2026. For most non-Lithuanian speakers the practical route is English — or Ukrainian for Ukrainians.

You select the language when registering at vp.regitra.lt; questions in every language are translations of the same official database. The practical exam is held in Lithuanian only (interpreters are allowed, including into Ukrainian).
What if you studied in Russian?
Until 2024 the exam was taken in Russian more than 13,000 times a year, so its removal affected many candidates. Ukrainian speakers now simply take the exam in Ukrainian (available since 9 February 2026, with Ukrainian interpreters allowed at the practical exam).
