Parking in Vilnius: zones, prices and fines

Parking in central Vilnius and the Old Town is paid. The city is divided into five fee zones: blue, red, yellow, green and white. The current rules took effect on 1 July 2025 and remain valid in 2026.

Key rules
- Zone hierarchy: a ticket for a more expensive zone is valid in all cheaper ones (blue works everywhere; green only in green).
- Electric vehicles (no combustion engine, with an electronic EV permit) park free — except the blue zone, where the first hour is free (activate parking in the app), then €3.50 for the 2nd hour and €4.00/h from the 3rd.
- White zone — apartment courtyards where residents themselves vote to introduce the fee; the first resident permit is free, the second costs €6/month.
- Unpaid parking: a notice is left on the car (see table) and must be paid within 168 hours (7 days). A violation of the fee rules can additionally bring a €20–40 fine (€40–100 for repeat offences).
