A tractor driver's certificate is required to legally operate tractors and self-propelled machinery in agriculture and construction. Lithuanian tractor categories:

CategoryCoversMinimum age
TR1Wheeled and tracked tractors up to 60 kW, incl. trailer combinationsTraining from 15; licence valid on public roads from 16
TR2Tractors over 60 kW17 (requires TR1 first)
SZSelf-propelled agricultural machinery (combines etc.)17
SMSelf-propelled non-agricultural machinery (loaders, excavators)18

How to get it

Training is provided by accredited schools; exams (theory + practical) are administered by the municipality, not Regitra. A medical certificate is required. On public roads tractor drivers follow the general KET: max speed 50 km/h for tractors, motorways are off-limits, and wide machinery needs marking and, where required, escort.

Note: a car (B) licence does not cover tractors — TR categories are a separate system.
