📚 Detailed rules
Driving carriages, herding cattle or poultry, and horseback riding on roads is permitted for persons not younger than 14 years of age.
Driving carriages, herding cattle or poultry, and horseback riding is permitted only on the right shoulder; where there is none – on the right edge of the carriageway, as close as possible to the edge of the carriageway, without endangering other road users.
The front of horse-drawn carriages or sleds must have white reflectors, the sides – orange reflectors, and the rear – red light reflectors, attached in clearly visible places and marking the outermost dimensions of the carriage or sled.
When driving carriages or herding cattle or poultry along roads during the dark hours of the day or in poor visibility, lamps must be lit on the left side of the carriage, sled, or herd of cattle or poultry: white at the front, red at the rear. If it is not possible to attach the specified lamps, they must be carried by herders on the left side of the cattle or poultry. During the dark hours of the day or in poor visibility, carriage drivers, cattle or poultry herders, and horse riders must wear a high-visibility vest with reflective elements.
A herd of driven cattle or flock of poultry must be divided into groups with such distances between them that they do not obstruct traffic. There must be a sufficient number of herders to control the cattle or poultry and ensure traffic safety.
Carriage drivers, cattle or poultry herders, horse riders, and other persons are prohibited from:
72.1. leaving cattle or poultry unattended on or beside the road;
72.2. tethering cattle so that they can get onto the road;
72.3. driving cattle or poultry on paved roads, asphalt or concrete-surfaced roads without the consent of the road owner;
72.4. driving cattle or poultry across railways and roads in places where specially designated places for this purpose do not exist;
72.5. horseback riding on the carriageway during the dark hours of the day;
72.6. driving carriages, herding cattle or poultry, or horseback riding on motorways and expressways;
