Motorcycle riding in Lithuania is covered by four categories, each with its own age limit and vehicle scope.

Exams and costs
The theory exam for the A group has 35 questions in 35 minutes (30 general + 5 motorcycle-specific), 80% pass mark. The practical exam is held April–November and costs €34.54 plus €40 for using Regitra's motorcycle. For AM, a practical exam is not mandatory. Higher categories always cover the lower ones.
Key riding rules
- Helmets are mandatory for the rider and the passenger.
- Passengers may be carried only on a proper seat with footrests; children under 12 may not ride as pillion passengers.
- Towing a motorcycle with a flexible rope is prohibited — only trailers designed for the purpose.
- Speed limits match cars: 130/110 km/h on motorways by season, 90 km/h on paved roads.
